Just a quick story of how making a good decision can put your life back on track, This is my story. Due to life’s struggles & poor decision making I found myself on the streets of central California using drugs uncontrollably to the point of losing everything. The biggest regret was losing my kids.
The hurt, pain, loneliness & emptiness I felt on a daily basis pushed me even deeper into my addiction and led me to abusive relationships and a lengthy criminal history. Believing that this is the lifestyle I created & there was no way out or hope. One day I reached out to my brother Hector Verbis and he knew I was going to die on the streets if I didn’t get help. I was introduced to Inner City Action “Bringing life back to the people a Faith-Based Non Profit organization, after failing many attempts in & out of other programs I found that Inner City Action wasn’t your traditional Program. They met me right where I was at due to many of the Staff coming from the same background and understanding my pain & my situation. After hearing their story’s of recovery from addiction & reconnecting back to family there was hope for the first time in years. Their style of helping me reestablishing confidence and courage and hope was amazing.
As we just didn’t sit in a room taking about how bad drugs are & how bad my life was. We traveled & had lots of life changing experiences. Realizing there is a whole world out there full of opportunities to help establish Dreams & Visions for my life. The Family atmosphere, the love & care from the Inner City Action Staff & Leadership makes them live up to there model

Today I have all my kids back thanks to the wisdom & counsel of the ICA Staff & Team. I met the love of my life there, he’s an amazing Husband, Father, & provider. We just bought our first home and I started two personal business adventures and I’m still very involved in giving back to others. Hope is apart of my lifestyle, now we as a family live our lives and are committed to helping bring life back to the People .
